alright guys, i've just recieved a whole whack of catalogs in the mail (blaser, merkel, sauer, mauser etc......what? i've got alot of time on my hands at work so i've been ordering free catalogs online) so anyway, the mausers really caught my eye. my problem is that i can't find MSRP's for the M98 and M03. epps has a used M03 for sale in 375 H&H for around 3k$ but since i'm not planning on going to africa anytime soon i've decided against even looking into it. just the same i'd really like to find out how much they go for new. i know i'm gonna get guys telling me that i'm only "paying for the name" but i wouldn't mind it one bit. if anyone has any insight on this topic i'd love it if you shared. thanks a bunch.

Lots of money for what are arguably thousand dollar rifles. I'd build another custom rifle long before I spent more than $2K on an off the shelf hunting rifle. Even my semi-custom ZG-47 was under $1500 which included the purchase price from Tradex and a bit of gunsmithing from Dave Jennings. Clearly these rifles are built for a specific market.
