New mdt lss-xl gen 2???!!!!

I am considering the whole chassis/stock option. Another Gunnut pointed out to me that their is a GEN2 coming out from MDT for the LSS-XL.

I haven't seen any other discussion on this.

Anyone from MDT care to give out a few more details....you know...just between you and me.....?

Here are some of the differences between the LSS-XL and the LSS-XL Gen2 between you, me and everyone else here

A more sleek, modern look
Lighter weight
M-LOK forend
Raised sides on forend for M-LOK
Larger barrel channel to accommodate barrels up to the size of the action
Barricade-stop grooves ahead of mag-well
Side-relieved mag well
Ambidextrous mag latch
Thumb shelf
A choice of either Collapsible or fixed buttstock interface

The Gen2 is lighter and has a M-LOK forend so it will allow for better bag riding

The Gen2 will release before the adapters but the folders shouldn't be too far behind. Gen2 should be early November while the folders should be available in December

MDT - not to hijack, but will the folding stock adapters fit the ESS stock system as well? I'd really like that option, as the entire stock makes for a long package.....

Correct, the socket profile is square with rounded corners. I asked because MDT reps stated that an ESS folding adapter was already in the works back when the ESS chassis was first launched this past Spring....

The standard folders will not work with the ESS unless you use the AR15 Carbine Adapter, then your LOP would be really long. There is a folding butt stock in the works specifically for the ESS which should be available in December.
 
I love my Gen 1 LSS but the new mag release design has me the most excited. Can't wait for some hi res pics.

And to get rid of the bump where the trigger guard meets the grip. Gen 2 is going to be awesome.
