hello GunNutz, found the website and we are looking for info about the 50 BMG shoot in Genesee. Our 50 is ready and we are looking forward to shooting it at the fun shoot. My wife and I shoot Olympic air rifle, prone 22, and 50 BMG.
We enjoy all of our rifle's but watching my wife pound 4 inch clay pigeons at a 1000 yds in 38 mph winds was absolutely incredible!!!!!!

yes me and my wife went to reno nevada to experiance a FCSA 1000yd match. we told the FCSA forum we were on our way to take pictures and ask a lot of questions. we were flooded with offers to use their guns/ammo. we excepted and i registered my wife. she got sighted in on friday night pounding pigeons, we were camped across from the world champions Lee/Sheri. they took us under their wings and spent the whole weekend coaching my wife, she placed 10 out of 21 shooters ,first time behind a50 in some very windy conditions. we have a 3 inch sighter disc that she shot 2 shots for sighters in the x ring 1 INCH group,a hell of a trophy.

Hi, this is Mrs 1000yds. Ya, quite the transition. I thought I was getting into a nice quiet shooting sport. We used to shoot archery but reoccurring injuries stopped that. Air rifle seemed to be a similar training regiment, so it was easy to give it a try and we love it. We haven't stopped; we just decided to add a 50BMG into the mix; not so quiet. And then we took up .22 (a slightly cheaper bullet than the 50BMG to learn wind and mirage), but benchrest shooting wasn't enough for us, so we tried out prone. As you can see we love rifle shooting of all sorts.

For anyone who wants to try prone shooting, it hurts. No one told us until we started complaining. That's when we found out from others, yes it hurts.

We love the rifle shooting sport, love the people, traveling to compete, but best of all is that we can do it together and plan on shooting together for many decades.

Thanks for the welcomes.
Mrs. 1000yrds
