Hi guys and girls! My name is Toby Read. I am 40 yrs old, British and live just outside Oslo, Norway. I have lived in Norway for 20+ years. Have been hunting/fishing for 25 years. Started with air weapons and graduated to centrefire rifles/Big game via shotguns and 22 rimfires. I hunt mainly predators and corvids but try to shoot some deer each year.
Happy Hunting!

Hello Toby,
Welcome to the mighty CGN.
How did you learn of us?

Please have a look at at the Newbie FAQ Section also. The link is in my sigline below. (It sounds as though you are not new to guns, but there is a bit about our laws that you may find interesting)

Welcome! I have TONS of family in Os, just outside Bergen. I'm quite jealous of your living in Norway. I've thought of moving for years.
I think you'll enjoy the site. Lots of very experienced and knowledgeable members. Just don't take things personally if they poke a little fun every once in a while..

oy, Toby, velkommen! While you are not a native to Norway, you obviously like it there! Enjoy Gunnutz! It a great site. Eagleye.

Fantastic to have you on this site. Tons of questions. What are the pistol/ revolver regulations in Norway ?

Welcome, Toby

You will be interested to check my website URL concering GPS.

You will see that a then young U of O student in astronomy, expert with compass & orientiering , Kjetil, picked up my post and mounted it to the web, HTMLed it etc., in those days, it was one of the most active web sites at the University!

Eventually, I painfully learned 2 finger writing of HTML code in Norton Editor  and got it up on a site hosted in Germany.

I have more of less lost track of Kjetil, but he can be Googled and it well worth reading his stuff. He is a skeptic of the first order.:)

So, I won't try and say welcome in Norge but who is hell is responsible for the curlers crazy pants as they compete in the mens world championship now in Regina. But they are having fun!:D

So, we all here are looking forward to your active participation in CGN.

Welcome.
