I recently acquired a Glock 17 from Sporteque. The have a new "program" where you have to register to the GSSF (Glock Sport Shooting Foundation) in order to order a Glock pistol. It turns out it was a great deal.

1 year membership to gssf = 35USD
1 Glock 17 + 3 extra mags (5 in total) = 740$ including gssf discount, taxes and free shipping wow!

BTW, I bought the last one, sorry ;) (They should restock after x-mas)

All in all i'm happy with my acquisition, I have yet to bring it to the range. Too bad my weekend is pretty much all booked, maybe sunday morning or it'll go next week :bangHead:

I have to admit the springs are a bit squeaky and trigger is gritty, I'm pretty sure just lubbing it will help a lot; it should improve significantly after a few hundred rounds :)

Here is a family photo:

*UPDATE*

I brought the Glock17 to the range along with my 9mm 226. I have to say I'm not a fan of the Glock's "U" stock sights. I'll soon end up changing them for 3 dots night sights or Fiber optics.

The stock sights aren't aligned at all, I shoot about 2 inch to the left @ 5 yards (2 people tried). I'm dead on with the Sig (3 bullets almost in the same hole).

I'll try to get it aligned locally and/or just change the sights. Any sight recommendations?

Thanks,

Try Heinie sight for Glock rear with Dawson Precision fiber optic front sight or Warren Tactical Sevigny competition sights with the fiber optic front sight.

This seems to be a popular setup. I'm doing a G17 project and I'm wondering where your average joe acquires these sights? Most places I just see Glock OEM fixed, adjustable or tritiums. Brownells?

For me, the answer is simple.

I have quite the same problem. I still have the original stock sights but a 3.5 ghost connector. The trigger is much lighter but the accuracy hasn`t improved much. About an inch away from bull's eye. I`m guessing its the sights. Its not major but I'd like it more accurate. Grouping is amazing!!!
