new mini 14's restricted?

i was just on irunguns.ca and noticed he had some Ruger Mini-14's listed there.

i also noticed that the 'tactical' ones are labeled as Restricted.

what gives?

as far as i could see the only difference between the ranch rifle and the 'tactical' ones where the addition of a flash hider.

so if thats the case then my ranch rifle with a after market stock and after market flash hider when then make it..... restricted?

Yeah, you can buy a ruger 10-22 with a 16" barrel no problem, because it's a rimfire,just not a auto loading center fire rifle.

Now I want a restricted mini-14 , that would be pretty cool.

irunguns is getting the american versions of guns so youll see their sub2ks restricted. The otherwise imported ones have a lengthened barrel specifically for our laws. Same goes for most of the other questions in this thread.

Whatever is listed on their website is what they sell. If it say 16" , they will ship a 16" rifle. They won't make sure you get a 18'5" non-restricted version.
