New model 70's

Has anyone bought a recently made Model 70. Are they of good quality or what. Pros and cons. Im liking the fact that i can get a Model 70 Sporter in 30-06 for like 700. The best part is that it comes in wood.

Same here. I Picked up a Super Express in 458WM and no complaints with it or the accuracy.

I have a M70 Extreme Weather and I think these rifles are a bargain. The only load I've put through it so far has been handloads with a 150 grain TTSX on top and it has been a bit finicky to get these to shoot nicely...but the end result is very good.

Something to note is that the barrels (atleast mine) is nicely finished and doesn't foul up with copper much at all.

I just got a m70 exreme weather. only had it for 2 weeks. love the stock. over all very nice rifle. I have a feeling it won't be my last m70. I might need a feather weight in 7mm-08 lol

I got 3 of the new Model 70 a coyote outback 22-250 with a Mcmillan stock,a 308 stealth and a 300 win mag fwt with a Mcmillan edge stock.
The 22-250 shot at least 2 different factory load under 3/4 moa and several other load shoot sub-moa.
The 308 stealth shoot the 3 different ammo i've tried between 5/8 to 3/4 moa.
The 300 win mag was a bit more fussy about ammo but it like the win 180 pp and and 180 power max bond shooting them under an inch

I think the mod 70 is one of the best buy for a 800-1000$ rifle

I have a new Safari Express in .375 H&H. It feeds and shoots amazingly well and fit and finish are excellent for a factory rifle. Great value for the money.

Okay, my mistake. I just acquired my Super Express a few years ago so although new to me, I guess it doesn't fit into the "New Ones" defination. Sorry about that.

When I got the Super Express, at that time I also had a Brno 602 in 458WM. To me the model 70 seemed to be better finished and possibly better quality so I traded off the Brno.

I've only had two model 70's. The first was another earlier model 70 in 300WM I gave to my buddy in Terrace when I picked up a Schultz & Larsen in 308NM.
