New model qsz92 cf98 norinco 9mm video

I bought some US Army Beretta mags cheap - about $15 each. I modified them with a new notch to work in a Diamondback 9. Cheap gun deserved cheap mags. they worked perfectly.

The easy and cheap way to get CF98 mags is

https://www.firearmsoutletcanada.com/norinco-cf-98-magazine--9mm-10-rounds-cf98-mag-.html

I ordered one to get the order over $300 so i got free shipping. Almost a free mag that way.

This is a cheap basic gun that works. I see guys buying the Smith SDV9 and them complaining about a heavy trigger that takes the fun out. This CF-98 is a pleasure to shoot. If I wear it out, who cares? It was only $300.

The Canik, on the other hand, costs a bit more and is a better gun in every respect.

Test fired my CF98 2020 version today alone with my M9A3 and G19X. 120 ish rounds each.

Trigger in single action is suprisingly light, but not as crisp as say the Beratta, but better than Glock stock trigger.
Iron sight is average at best, not very good.
Egonomic wise the grip fits small-medium size hand pretty good.
Recoil wise the gun jumps more than beretta and glock for sure, might be due to higher bore axis.
Accuracy wise, due the the iron sight kinda meh, can't shoot as tight as beretta or even glock.
Reliability wise all three had zero issues with blazer 115gr and 124 gr.

For a 250 dollars Pistol that is cheaper than airsoft, pretty good bang for the buck.

How long is the trigger reach? Is it shorter than a CZ75?

I’m finding that almost all DA/SA triggers are designed to be comfortable for guys that can pick up a basketball with one hand, but the Chinese might have given it a bit more consideration due to obvious reasons.

Disappointing the new mags aren’t swappable out of the box. The website I first seen it said they were.

Slightly disappointing. Probably have to stick with the old double feed mags.

Great gun though, I’m sure the new version is just as good.

Finally opened mine up, did a full disassembly and cleaned out all the oil. The front and rear sights lost the "FO" inserts as soon as the brake cleaner touched them, they were glued in and the glue dissolved. I've cleaned with brake clean hundreds of times and I've never seen that happen before. Other than that, the pistol is pretty decent. The grips very small, might be good for the wife and daughter to try out. DA pull is long as expected, SA is gritty but I'll work on smoothing that out. Looking forward to going to the range and testing it out. If it's like other Norinco's it should work just fine.

Me too! But I believe there is a way to get around.

I’m going to mod the beretta mag and I’ll see if I can mod a new mag for the old gun. I’ll update in the future.

Awesome! I bought the new model a while back, but I still haven't had the chance to clean it. The old model is a good shooter, the only problem is the mag.

Its a decent, well-priced pistol to start with. My general rule of thumb is if its good enough to be issued and regularly used by a police / military force then its good enough for a civvy too.
