Just picked up this beauty at my local can tire last week. All parts #'s matching including the mag floor plate. Went there for a tool and left with a gun and no tool.. Hand picked through the rack till I saw this one. The scope was blurry/ cloudy so went through cleaning it following instructions I found on YouTube. The shellac was also falling off in my hands so stripped stock with antique furniture stripper and re-did stock with 6 coats of tru oil ( no sanding ) . I'm very happy with how it looks and the bore is absolutely pristine so it shoots really well. I was putting three out of five shots touching at 100 m. Will post photos from next range trip if I remember.

They were sure turning those barrels out fast; you've almost got cooling fins up front.

I'll have to find a nice Tula rifle someday.

It's almost like its a heavier barrel than my 44 ishvesk sniper and my 39 Tula mosin. It was the only Tula on the rack out of about a dozen mosin snipers

Nice. I've yet to see enough in the shops to find one

Every Mosin nut needs a nice pre war rifle and a gnarly '43. Just to sit down and see the great haste made to fill an even greater need. And yet it still passed inspection as a sniper grade barrel.
