There was a previous post about these. The model 464 lever-action is up on their website. It's available in 30-30 and .22. At first I thought that they imported these from another country, but these are made is the USA and they really have the winchester look. The top-tang safety is also a plus in my book, if you have to put one at all that is...

Check them out at: http://www.mossberg.com/default.asp?section=home

P.S. They also added some new variations in the zombie shotgun department.:D

Norinco is a completely different story - you cant buy a Springfield M1A for $399.

if Winchester levers were $2000, i would understand the appeal of a Mossberg knockoff. but theyre not - you can buy the originals for the same or less than the price of the Mossberg, so why even bother?

i dont get the point of buying an unproven knockoff of another rifle when the classic proven originals can be had for the same price or lower.

In all the Canadian gunstores, and gunshows I have been to over the years I have yet to find an original Mossberg lever action rifle.

Why do people buy anything when they can have an original Win 70 or Rem 700, the proven bolt actions. Its called choice, and maybe with these on the market, if winchester and savage start making levers again, it'll keep the price down.

beats me :D
i never saw the appeal of something like a Mossberg 4x4.

im just saying that if something is a 'clone', then either price it accordingly or bring something significantly new/improved to the table.

i can see spending $350 on a remington 700 clone as a beater or project gun, but would you buy a newly released, unproven 700 clone for $800?

We all know where Marlin will be in 2 years. In the grave with the model 94.:p

Cerberus will see to it.

I think that Winchester should be allowed a dignified death and Marlin should be euthenized but the marketers will see to it that there is a resurrection. There are enough crappy old lever actions out there to last for eternity. Those guys must be doing a good job to convince the buyers that century old rehash is the best they can do.
