New Mossberg "Patrol" 1/9 twise heavy 16.25" barrel .223 that takes LAR mags?

You guys are getting confused. The barrel length (18.5"/470mm) is applied to SEMI AUTO CENTERFIRES. Thus we can have a 9" semi auto 10/22, a 12.5" pump 870, a lever action mare's leg, etc. Furthermore there are 16.5" Remington 700's on the market right now (among other bolt actions with similar barrel lengths), all non-restricted.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Seems that sponsors have been trying to get the MVP's since they came out 2 or 3 years ago. First it was the MVP. Then it was a heavy barrelled varmint version. Now it's this cool little carbine. Haven't seen any come to Canada yet. But boy would I like one. They just keep getting cooler as time goes on.

7615, the most dissapointing rifle I ever owned.

No offence guy's but I'm not sure this belongs here. We need a forum for these...things.

We can call it the Zoot Suit forum. We can polish our nails, grow a cool biker beard, cam up and pose in the woods with our Zoot sticks.

Hey I'm old and cranky...friggin wind's making my arthritis act up...well not that old, but I make up for it with cranky..

Make me wonder if you ever fired a 7615P, they are reliable, they shoulder well, they are accurate and the ability of taking AR mag make them versatile... Yep i wonder... JP.

I had one JP, with the reg stock. I've got a prob with my wrist and something about that angle just made it uncomfortable. I think the real problem was my expectaions, not the rifle. I'll conceed if you were looking for a handy .223 rifle you couldn't go wrong. As far as accurate, mine just plain sucked. That was the tipping point for me. Between the wrist and the seemingly endless work on finding a load I just gave up and traded it on an SPS Tac.

Wonder all you like, I've never owned a gun blessed by Yahweh. My 7615P shot 3"-4" groups at 100 yds.

I was wondering how a Mossberg wound up in the precision forum.

The heavy barrel.

Easy to confuse a things if there given the proper outfit...you never know it just may meet the criteria, since I'm not really sure what that would be I'll repeat, I'm not sure it belongs here.

I guess we can say it does if it can consistanly shoot sub MOA. I have to go back up to the sticky's see if it's clearly defined.
