dope, got mine from him recently too but, where do i fnd an allen key small enough for the the set screw?

Usually for the USGI set screw (#6 x 40 x 1/4") it's a 1/16" allen key. I have a bunch from my SPS Rem M700 rifles that come with them. Popular size is easy to find! Hope this helps you out! :D

Cheers,
Barney

Hey hungry do you know where to get extra set screws or how to deal with stripped ones? Mine is stripped so I need to get it out, I've tried dipping my allen wrench in loctite but all that did was pour over into the threads on the flash hider (lol) making it so that I now have a stripped set screw that's covered in loctite and it's sealed to the flash hider.

My one saving grace (I think) is that the set screw is not engaged between the castle's nuts, it's just bagging on one of the tops, so I could potentially use my pliers to pull the whole FH off and then cut a slit across the set screw and take it off with a slot screwdriver?

thanks hungry, greatly appreciated! in the midst of my build im super excited, i must say the rifle feels great! been takin pictures of the process... finishing stock, etc, will try and post some pics for all the boys

I don't believe it is the Springfield brake...

I"ll find out on Saturday if it enhances accuracy! The old one from Norinco was actually a flash hider as the "slots" weren't cut through. They were fake grooves...

I'll post a little report after my shoot for yas! :dancingbanana:

It sure looks like a Springfield brake. I just installed one on one of my M305's. Works OK, but not as well as the Smith brake I have on another M305. The Smith is shorter too.

haha yeah that dvd was definitely worth 50 bucks! but hey sp was good to work with so whatevs. besides, i bet his yours was a fake undergiver........;)
