Rifle Dynamics puts a Nickel Boron coating on their rifles so that lube isn't needed, and corrosion is a non-issue.

Are there any shops in Canada that do the same?

And they say there's nothing interesting in Sakatoon.

Nickel-Boron is a common coating for Sour Service (NACE) trim components that we use in the oil patch. Valve balls and seats, hard coated components like drill motor bearing parts etc. Something to remember, it's non-ductile so whatever you plate can't flex.

Does anyone have slow motion video of the VZ 58 under going barrel flexing? I bet the wip alone would snap this coating apart.
