New Nor M14 problem

Hi all - new Norinco M14 owner. I took the gun out for first time firing last week and had a problem with the operating rod randomly popping out of the guide on the receiver, which of course would also cause the bolt roller to become disengaged from the rod. Basically the small metal tab on the inside of the rod is disengaging from the guide where that notch is cut out below the windage knob. This is happening randomly between shots and seems to happen at the end of every mag.......almost like the rod is being cycled back too far?? Anyone ever heard of this problem? Thanks in advance!

What kind of ammo are you using?

Barrel is out of index and/or oprod guide is loose....

Pretty common problems with the shorties!
