New Norc 1911's

Handled one of the new series 'enhanced' two tone Norc 1911A1's today at a local gunshow. Dealer had it on his table for $399.... While I'd still rather have the bone stock USGI copy/version, if I was to go for one of these newbies it would be the all blued version. Don't like the looks of the two tone in person. Love the new sites, very functional. Barrel looks nicely throated. But the lame extended slide stop definitely has to go!

The extended slide stop is very useful to me. And my hand is not small.

Guess maybe those of us who have no use for them should save 'em up when we swap them out for standard ones. Put 'em up for sale in the EE.... I already have one in the parts box now from my NP-29. If I order a new enhanced blued one from Canada Ammo, I will have two..... [I already have a standard one to go in it....] :yingyang:

NAA... what I meant was... where is the best place to get a standard (non-extended) slide stop?

I got some by putting a WTB ad on the EE.... Also watch your local gunshows for misc 1911 parts... I got a minty original Colt 1911 slide stop from a 1914 vintage commercial government in the original Colt blue for $10 in a parts box recently at a local gunshow...

But I also note that Marstar has them on their site under 1911 parts.... Here's a link:

Do they ship to Canada?

Depends on the items, under the rules and regulations from their Department of State they require all manufactures to register with them, failure to register constitutes that Brownells can not forward their gun parts internationally. So you have to check with them to make sure the items you're buying are good to go internationally.
