I ordered this (my first firearm) a few weeks back from The Ammo Source, she showed up last week in the mail and I was finally able to take it out to try it this past weekend.

As I have no prior experiance with firearms, I really don't have anything to compare it too, but it performed well and i can't really find anything I don't like about it. I should say that ordering online from The Ammo Source (a site sponser here) was effortlesss and painless, and the firearm showed up exactly when they said it would.

I tried it out with a couple different shells (Winchestor Universal 5 and a friends re-loaded 7.5) and bought some 1" slugs (all in 2 3/4") to see what they felt like. The slugs packed a bit of a wallop, it was a surprise at first, but once I knew what to expect all was cool.

All in all, I'm very happy with my first purchase (not my last, as I can see now this little hobby becoming quite addictive), and certainly used information posted by members here ot make my purchasing decision.

I just don't know what to call her. Apparantly she is identical to the DA Grizzly, and the owners manual that arrived with her (while seeminlgy generic) did use the "HP" model name on it. Maybe I'll just call her The Black Mariah.

Congrats on the first firearm...if it's the same as the Grizz it should also take 3" shells...might I suggest the 3" magnum slugs? They pack a heck of a wallop and you'll get a nice 3 foot flame out the end of the shotgun...definitely cool near dusk time...enjoy!

Great buy.Now get a Hogue forearm for it and you'll never look back.
Has a nice stickyness to it so no hands/gloves sliding off and easy to put on.Got my last one from Del Selins in Vernon, but don't know if any left.
