New Norinco 1911 mag suggestions?

Chip McCormick Power mags
Wilson 47D mags

Both of these will give you flawless performance. For instance, I have a few Colt 7 round 1911 mags, that give nothing but stoppages with 185gr JHP in my Kimber Warrior. Like 2 per mag. With the CMC Power Mags, I haven't had a stoppage at all.

For the price, I wouldn't bother with the Marstar ones.

You can get good name brand ones out of the states (no import restrictions - 10 rounds or less) for about $20-$25.

OR - check the EE for good deals.

The Marstar 1911 mags (I believe) are simply extra Norinco ones. They work, but are not on the same level as a CMC or Wilson (IMHO).

You can't go wrong with the 7-rd Wilson Rogers, if you don't mind the extended basepad. Your choice of finish and basepad material.

If you happen to want the welded bottom magazine, look at the 7-rd Metalform. Again, your choice of finish.

If you want 8-rd capacity, look first at Tripp Precision's CobraMag.

How about 10 round capacity? I don't mind it sticking out of the bottom of the magwell. I just want to be able to use it for IPSC or speed steel etc.

I couldn't get any of the 8rds to work in my current commander, but the same mags worked well in another Nork 1911 being used beside me, it depends on what the gun likes.
