New Norinco M305 malfunctionned.

Hello, I am new to this fourm and the M305 is my first gun. Went out shooting today, shot 2 rounds and the others came out in a 3 rd burst. Fired another 40 rds after and no issues. Is this something to be concerned about? It is a brand new rifle.

Fired 42 out of 45 rounds. A 93% success rate with a Norc is pretty good IMO.

Yes. >>>> Don't fire 40 rounds after your gun does something dangerous <<<<. Could be firing pin, ammo or trigger group.

The gun slam fired. Firing pin channel probably has too much oil or grease. Just give it a good cleaning and it will be fine.

Too soft primer cups. More tendency for your situation. As above advised clean well and then try again.

And hold the rifle firmly!
Some have said before that holding it too loosely or squeezing the trigger too lightly will cause the bounce back from recoil to touch off another round (bump fire)
