i checked out that gun store in the OP, they sell guns it looks like the mags are full capacity as per the details on the guns they are selling.

the ammo is almost 2 times the price it is here though !! even after conversion. reloading must be super popular there

harblethecat - yes we can own handguns but you can only shoot at specified shooting ranges and have to shoot a certain number of times a year. You also have to join Pistol NZ and be a member for a certain period before applying for the b-cat (pistol) license. http://www.centralshooters.co.nz/pistol-licence-process
