So, I saw Dlask is offering to rebarrel VZ's to non-restricted for $550. I have a CZH2003 that I was considering having rebarreled but then I saw I could buy a new VZ for $1000. I'm pretty sure cost breaks down about the same either way if I sold my CZH to fund a factory NR. Only reason I can see to rebarrel is I had the bolt on my current rifle redone with a LH charging handle, which I really like. Just wondering if it makes more sense to go one way or the other? Are there any quality differences with new vs older rifles and factory NR barrels vs Dlask barrels?

Are the new Dlask barrels chrome lined? Sounds like a good deal to me. A quality barrel would be worth it if it meant being able to shoot the sucker anywhere and not just at a range.

Just get another rifle, 2 is always better than one.

That would be nice. My money tree took a bit of a beating on my recent moose hunting trip though.

These are stainless barrels. I agree it seems like a good way to go. iirc they also change the barrel retention system so a press is no longer required to install barrels. This would make future barrel swaps a whole lot easier.

My query though was more in regards to quality of the older rifles versus new stock. Since the costs are a wash I am leaning towards rebarreling, given I have a reliable rifle with a left side charging handle but wondered if there was something I was overlooking in making this decision.
