Hey all, new to the site. Been hunting for while and I'm looking to get a new rifle for this up coming deer season. I've narrowed down my choices to the Tikka T3x Battue Lite and the CZ 557 Black edition both in 308. not sure if I should start a Separate thread for this.

I hunt bush but on occasion field. I feel more comfortable having iron sites as back up coming form a 30/30 95 user. I do plan on putting a 1-4x or 1-8x bushnell or vortex illuminated scope on it.

What do you all think.

Welcome to the "G"! Post your question in the General Firearms Discussion forum. It will get better exposure.

I have a Cz 455 and the only downside is not
All the etching has been blued. Other then that one tiny thing it’s a super nice rifle top notch just looses a point for the exposed etching. It almost look like it’s done After the rifle was finished.

Welcome. I own two Tikka Battue rifles. One is a vintage 595 full wood in 308. The other is a T3x in 30-06. Both scoped with Leupold 3-9 scopes. The best Ontario bush rifle for moose and deer. I have owned CZ rifles. They are nice but I'd take the Tikka Battue any day.

I have a battue in 308, masi mount, trigger spring kit and atlasworx bottom metal for acis mags. Great bush gun.

Thanks I've held both, though at different stores, it's a tough choice they both have there pluses and they feel good for different reasons. haha what a predicament
