since we were on the topic of police and traffic tickets, which police officers are the ones giving out traffic tickets? nevermind, you already answered your own question.

I believe it was clear to me and everyone else that when traffic tickets come up in a discussion that traffic police are the police being discussed in that topic without having to analyse every minute detail but thanks for doing so, you have cleared up any possible misunderstanding you may have had.

I've seen a few of those used up North for offroad and hunting. Not a bad solution actually. Sure you have to register/insure it for road use but then again most of us have to transport our ATVs with another unsured vehicle anyways.

I once took a F350 through quad trails. Lots of fun actually but not something I would recommend with a vehicle you own.

Your misunderstanding was pointed out very well by yourself, I'm glad you caught it because I wouldn't have without your help.
 
The negatives outweigh the positives by such a huge margin to your average user

Negatives:
1) fees
2) fines
3) enforcement officers tied up doing 1&2 instead of their original job

Positives:
1) mandated insurance - see #1 in negatives - I've never felt the need or desire for insurance enjoying off road vehicles. People are generally good.
2) theft deterrent - the only thing I've ever had stolen in my life wasn't recovered by the police. I'd sooner take my chances.
 
I got family in Vancouver Island they have Hell of a time with people stealing ATVs for their BC bud gardens
Somehow I don't think those people would really care if they're breaking the law or not. Haahaa
