A while back I had a chance to pick up a .260 mtn rifle for a really good price, so I did (I can't help myself sometimes ). Well after about 8 months sitting in my safe I finally got a chance to work on it(been off work). It weighs in at 6lbs 6oz the way it sits in the picture. It should make a nice, lightweight coyote gun :D

-Remington 700 mtn rifle
-Rem take off Ti stock in ADL
-trigger tuned to a crisp 2.5 pounds
-Talley's and a VXII 3-9x40
-Gray Tan bolt shroud and firing pin

3-9 or 3.5-10x40mm is all I will buy now for my average(day to day) hunting rifles . They just work well for me :)

I had a few VXIII 2.5-8 scopes over the past few years and never liked them. I must be silly...

Nice rifle! I'm thinking' you going to start carrying that one all the time preferring it over the bigger ones.

I have always wanted something like that in 250 Savage or 250AI.

Not sure about that, but ya never know. I guess we will see how it shoots and go from there ;)

I have way too many rifles right now, but I cant sell any and just keep buying . I have a serious problem...

Very nice. Similar to mine but I had to do mine the hard way. Couldn't find a stainless .260Rem anywhere so I had one put together. Started with a brand new stainless SPS in .243Win and a take off .260Rem Mountain barrel from EE. Had Rembo remove the .243 and install the .260. Rembo also beadblast the whole thing to match the SPS and "regular" Rem finish of the barrel. Bedded in a Ti take off stock. Talley LW and a Leupold VXII 2-7x33. Got two muley buck so far with it. Love it.

Nice rig Steve! I am glad I didn't have to go that far to get mine together :)

What does it weigh?

Thanks TB! Nice BT!

While we are on the .260 subject if you guys want to share any load data it would be greatly appreciated! I hoping to test out some 130g TSX's fairly soon.
