Good morning everyone. Let’s hope that everyone made it through the holidays and from me and mine - Happy New Year.
So an introduction of me. I’m a retired senior and have had a gun in my hands since I was old enough to carry one. I grew up on the rural prairies of our great country. My father instilled in me the love of wildlife and safe gun handling - never point your fire arm at anything that you don’t intend to shoot and don’t shoot anything that is useful alive and useless dead.
I’ve been a avid target shooter, handgun, small and large bore rifle, trap and archery.
I dabbled in gun repair and thought I’d take up the gunsmith trade until my small shop was broken into and all my tools were stolen. When the regulations and gun laws first changed it became just too expensive to continue. I still do my own repairs. I haven’t bought a new firearm in twenty years.
I used to hunt (subsistence mostly) but with age and slowly diminishing eyesight and my family growing older, not needing the much loved wild game, I put that aside as well.
So in a nutshell, or should I say shotshell, that’s me.
