New op rod spring guide for my m305

I ordered a new M1A/M14 national match spring guide for my Poly M305.

It came today!

Problem, it doesnt fit into the stock spring. It is tight and I might be able to force it on, the gun as of yet has not been fired, or greased up for that matter.
Should have I ordered a new spring at the same time or is there a way to make it work?

Which one did you order?
If it is M1A or G.I. M14 spec, it won't fit
You will need an m1A spring such as a wolfe or surplus usgi
The Tartan tactical NM guide rod works equally well in both chinese and G.I. Springs

I do not as of yet have the springs
We have mags, guide rods, bolt tools
Try fabsports or albertatacticalrifle and if that fails, try EE.... Or brownells

LOL - I'm laughing as I did the same thing; my new Badger Ord NM guide arrived and I literally jammed 'er into the Chinese spring ( vaugely remembering a post of Laz's about the dimension difference ) and, being a real keener with a new toy went off to the range. Well, to make a long story short, a 'cycling issue' crystalised in my mind what I had read about the dimensions of Chinese vs US springs and upon return home I ordered a US NM spring .

Yep, that's what you need. I had to get one for mine when I got my Sadlak spring guide from fabsports.

Does anyone know what happened to the M14 section of Alberta Tactical Rifle Supply's site? It seems to have evaporated.
