I've been watching for a product like this for bipod fitment, and had given up hope that I'd be able to do better than the kinda pricey one from Sadlak. As it stands, the jury's still out until I can find the 15 minutes it takes to drive to Dlask and take a better look at one so that I can deduce if there will be a way to attach both the rail and my 1907 pattern sling. But at $29 bucks, it's one that I don't mind cutting up in order to make work!

Anyway, I noticed it was just added to their catalog a few days ago so I thought I'd let everyone know it was out there in the Canadian M14s universe.

Coincidentally, I also noticed that they dropped the price on their op-rods to 120 bucks, and that got me wondering just what there would be to gain my swapping out the chicom unit for the Dlask one?

Great. Will post a report this weekend!

BTW - they had rail sling mounts that would work for the 190t type sling. Ill be using mine for a tangodown bipod and short vertical grip!!!!

It's good to see dlask finally making some of the stuff I told them would sell well. I would expect more good things to come. Now, they just gotta make the charger guide rail I advised them on.

I'd kill for a Dlask-made handguard/rail. If it cost as much as an Ultimak, was a low as an Ultimak, had the provision for side rails like an Amega, and was Canadian made, I'd be on it like white on rice!

And of course, there's the added benefit of being able to drive over there and pick it up... gotta love that.

x4 for me too!
It looks like Dlask is releasing alot of cool accessories as of late.
Also the idea of the Dlask full scout rail system & M14Doctor's stripper clip guide mount makes me supper excited!

I picked up my 18 3/4" m14 mods at Dlask this week and will get my new rail next week. I was setting up my UTG tri rail on the upper and got that cheap feeling about it.... It will be temporary given it's quality - I'll ask about a Dlask rail next week!

This is a scout build ... So no need for a front sight ...

Looking forward to the lower rail for my bipod and vert grip!

I spoke with them today and was informed that the rails are all out for anodizing right now, but they'll be back next wednesday. I'll take some pictures of the install.

Also, I asked about the possibility of a Dlask scout rail, and was rewarded with an answer of "probably." It sounds like they're just evaluating how to improve upon the current offerings from Amega and Ultimak before they start actually putting their own pen to paper. In any case, exciting stuff!

Yup, Dlask is stepping up. I personally, with my own limitations in manufacturing, have handed them several M14 product designs/drawings for them to do what they will with.
FULL understock rails, made by dlask to my drawing specs are also availlable thru me only. I have lots, pre drilled and tapped and hard anodized.
Good to see the bipod rail is out.
Also look forward to my height adjustable stripper clip guide mini rail for Sage/UTG/AKM handguard bridging.

Oh yes, and their gas lock dovetail sight.
Dlask is steppin it up and I'm real happy to see it after 4 years of grindin on Joe while handin him drawings ;)

I picked up my rail and set it up with myTango Down bipod (will post pictures later) great option and the sling option is a solid as ever - given that the TD bipod folds backwards there wasnt a need for a sling mount. I did however try a short vertical grip and its a good option.

A longer rail option wouldnt be a bad idea.

Off top paint my stock this week- pictures ASAP ;)

I noticed that too. In the description, they say "CNC machined to original U.S. Military dimensions for a drop-in fit on mil-spec M14s and clones"....would it really be a drop in fit on Poly/Nork units?

The Dlask sourced Red White and Blue (RWB) oprods are good to go. A part such as this , when correctly fitted, is a vast improvement over a sloppy chinese oprod. BUT your chinese oprod is not so bad, one piece forged like the sought after TRW (all other usgi oprods start life as 2 pieces). The crappy thing is the chinese just "make it fit" and often this leads to a sloppy fitting oprod tab.

Have a gander at the U.S. M14 forums and search under RWB. This oprod has been inspected and passed by many of the top names in the M14/M1A world south of the border.
Then look at Dlask's price... Then go look at Brownells price for the exact same item... You will be shocked to see what a smoking deal dlask is giving.
RWB's oprod, at Dlask's price ... 2 big thumbs up from me

BUT is it a drop in part AS IS, or does it need fitting to the receiver? Dlask suggests its a drop in part.

I am good friends withe guys at dlask. While their manufacturing and their experience with many firearms, I'm not aware of anyone on staff that is educated in the M14. The oprod is NOT a drop in item and there is no, one procedure for fitting. Each rifle requires the oprod to be fitted to it's receiver. The tools required : gunsmith's xfine files and lapping compound.
I've been supplying and installing these RWB oprods for custom builds for the past 2 years at the same price as dlask plus 65.00 for install.
