The rail attached. It's great. I've got my TD bipod ... I'm undecided about the short vertical grip...

This is solid kit!

K1ng C, I ordered my rail on Aug 4th and it arrived yesterday. I only live about 5 hours away from Dlask but it is my understanding that the rails were out for anodizing at the time I ordered. I'm sure yours is probably on its way to you.

Shazam,

Did you shorten the screws for the rail or add spacers?

When I tried installing mine on a Norc synthetic stock the screws are too long and protrude through the rail.

Most cool looking boomstick there, Shazam! I'm stoked! Say... who makes that stock of yours ? Or is it painted Polytech? Nice TD bipod!

Cheers,
Barney

Hungry - its a painted Norc synthetic stock - as akward as the short vertical grip looks .. it actually works with my monkey arms w:h:
As soon as I find a Swedish M68 stencil my plan is to finish a Desert pattern.

TFHunter - The Dlask rail wan installed at the shop so the screws are stock length on an OEM Norinco stock...

All three of the screws that came with my rail are about an 1/8" or more too long for the synthetic stock. I will contact Dlask and see if I can get shorter screws.

Great... I got some Tan Krylon kicking around, I might just paint up my black Norc synthetic plastic stock like yours!

Thanks for sharing !

Cheers,

Deception!

Just got mine, was all excited until I started installation and noticed that the vent hole is not at the same location as the DLASK hole...

Is it because I have a SA Loaded? Seems to be approx 3-4mm off...

So... I decided to use the dremel, then install... The provided screws does not have the same threads as the M1A...

I will contact DLASK today, If it doesn't fit a M1A, then the product name should reflect that (fm his website):

M14/M1A/M305 Bipod Picatinny Rail (4.25") so you can mount the bipod forward. Adapter for Picatinny Rail compatible Bipods

Where did you source that TD bipod from?

In the same boat.Rail is off spec for USGI glass stock.Gas hole doesn't line up at all.Whats the fix??

Version 2 should have an oblong hole :D , that would fix the issue.
DR lector, give me a shout next week, I'll get some stock dimensions to ya for variance comparisons. My number is in joe's list ;)

I sent a email yesterday... no answer
The fact that it is not compatible with USGI is a major issue... especially when it is advertised as for M1A/M14/M305.

I've called SADLAK and now have theirs on order. Spoke with a really nice lady.

Ok so what should i do here? enlarge the gas/drain hole on the stock(not to keen on this at all) or just file/grind down the gas hole on the Dlask rail. There would still be some space between hole on stock and rail so any gas could still technically escape i guess.Overall i think Dlask products are great. But i wonder how something like this even happens.I mean to not be compatible with USGI stock of all things, probably the most popular mod to do to a Norc is kinda messed up.Unless its just my stock but i dont know about that one...

There are differences in hole location on the 5 stocks I have in front of me. USGi fiberglass, usgi birch, poly plastic, chinese wood and lastly, a boyd's type I. Hole location is different on all five when measuring from forward rivet hole of sling plate to gas hole. A 1/2 inch slotted hole on an averaged center would solve the issue. I always tell those guys to call me with any M14 related questions on the projects they have going.... :D :D
I'll drop into the shop after this weekend's port alberni M14 clinic and give them some dimensions to consider.
