Currently, in order to bring the rifle into the country the mags are required to be 5 rounds. The round capacity is currently being debated as the the POF Phoenix 9mm pistol was introduced first, in 2022, while the POF Tombstone lever-action rifle was announced shortly after in January 2023. Thus the argument is the rifle should have a 10 round capacity given they both use the same magazine and the pistol was brought to market first. This follows suit when compared to the rifles that use a Glock pattern magazine or the RRA.

We understand, The magazine capacity is currently in debate with the RCMP, time frame unknown. It could possibly be 10, who knows. At this point we have been authorized to lawfully import them with 5 rounds, in our opinion 5 rounds with the hope of more is better than nothing or watching someone else putting rounds down range....

Yes, they are proprietary to POF, the RCMP seems to feel there is a history that dates back to 2015 on these mags. We are unable to confirm that. There is a current handgun that utilizes the same mag so the best hope is 10 rounds.
