New portable shooting table

The best way to settle this argument is for one of you girls to shoot from the back of your truck in view of a cop or co and see what they do. In Sask it is illegal irregardless if hunting or target shooting, private or public property. Nice shooting bench, i`ve been pondering building one for myself.

Look, I came into this thread asking a simple question. The question was ignored. I then posted the regulations for the area where this was taking place according to where the silent "ceriksson" is located.

Even with that information the personal attacks started flying. Pretty Fn childish me thinks!

I don't give two S$%ts where you or anyone else lives, if you're breaking the law I will call you out on it. But, before I do I will know exactly what the laws are in the area I am commenting about and I will ask questions. Unlike some of you here.

For you that want to turn this issue around and use spelling mistakes and your lack of knowledge to attack me is quite childish and says a whole bunch about your character.:puke:

Ok, I'll bite and say it. Does anyone see a loaded firearm in the back of the ford truck? Just a simple yes or no will suffice. "Maybe" or "I can't tell" isn't applicable.

Depends where you are. Some provinces specify it's illegal regardless, some only on crown land, some only specify that it's illegal to hunt from a vehicle. You will need to dig up the provincial laws for your province, plus the hunting regs for same, and any county or RM regs as well. This country has way too many rules. - dan

If as is being taught in firearms safety courses, the Federal Firearms laws don't allow a loaded firearm in/on a motor vehicle, it really doesn't matter what province you are in. We used to shoot gophers out of the back of a pickup many years ago, but that was long before C-68 and the new firearms laws.

Why can't you people grow up and leave the egoes somewhere else?

This thread was about a portable shooting table ( which I have...) and not about anything else. Take your pissing matches elsewhere.

Apparently we still have some KGB agents looking out for public safety. Thank god someone is thinking of the children. Obviously dangerous dangers are dangerous, the people who keep us safe say so.

And yet you can get a permit to hunt (and shoot) from your licensed road legal ATV if you're disabled. I guess those permits must be illegal too? - dan

Sorry Max. I like the idea and didn't mean to feed the argument that this became. I'll bow out of the "legal" arguments, and just stick to cool portable shooting benches in this thread from now on. - dan

With the proper permit, anything can be made legal. But for the vast majority of us that don't have permits, it's still illegal.

If it looks like a Troll, smells like a Troll and ACTS like a Troll, it must be a Troll.:D

I just don't get the whole argument because how is shooting out of the bed of a truck even useful unless you have made the suspension ridgid. The slightest breeze or movement of the shooter or anyone else on board is going to get the truck moving enough to ruin any potential accuracy IMO. I do like the bench though, it's a little nicer than my "workmate shooting bench" for sure!!!!!!
