I sold my other .223 a month back, with plans on going bigger. After some thought, it was obvious that I didn't need bigger...but maybe a faster twist so I could run something heavier for the 2 times a year we stretch things out. I called up Jo Brook firearms, and Derek was more than happy to help me spend all my $$$. I just took delivery of a 700 tactical in .223, with a Jewel trigger, talley rings, and have mounted a Vortex 4-16x44LR. It should work good for yotes in the winter, gophers in the summer, and the odd day blasting at the 700 yard gong.
Having never pulled a Jewel trigger before(and being a timney addict), I wasn't sure what I was getting for the extra $$ on the Jewel...now having tryed my new jewel trigger, it was $$ well spent. It's perfect!
Next on the list is a new stock, likely an HS, but maybe a Macmillan.
Looking forward to loading up some 70 grn VLDs and stretching things out.
