Here is my new Precision tactical SOCOM 30 caliber carbine with holosite. I am able to get sub quarter minute groups with factory 150 grain silver tips, but I have a question: What affacts accuracy more: Wearing Cad Pat trousers or painting the scope green?

Here are some 900M groups I did while load developing.

And,

Here is my new F-Class Precision rifle and precision analogue sighting system.

I get .25MOA with bulk American Eagle ammo.

Quick load says I should only have to come up 1648 MOA at 2 miles, but I found I only needed 1647. What am I doing wrong?

have you tried Lapua Midas in your F-Class rig, might work better,, are you taking emails so I can get more info???

Sad sad sad, everyone knows Duct tape is way gooder than that cheap crap you are using to mount your scopes:DThat green tape holding the bipod on will never last, try a bungee cord, it can also double as a sling:dancingbanana:

Where can I find this Bacardi Gun Juice? I am looking for a 45 gal barrel of it.

Ian,
the problem as I see it is that describing your particular firearms as precision rifles is not correct with regard to the very definition of precision. Please search this forum, there have been many discussions on what constitutes a precision firearm. However I do understand that your guns are accurate and that you enjoy target shooting along side the real precision shooters. I also understand that whilst your guns may not be classified precision, niether are they hunting rifles, so you cannot post their attributes in good conscience in that forum either. Please do not find my reply critical, I would just like you to understand that until you use a real precision rifle, built by the 'creme de la creme' (Miss Jean Brody) of gunsmiths and built to exact tolerances you will never learn to shoot to your true potential.

best regards and good shooting,
warren

I have a question: What affacts accuracy more: Wearing Cad Pat trousers or painting the scope green?

Good question but need a little more clarification before an answer is possible:
1. are you wearing the trousers over your head;
2. when were the trousers most recently washed; and,
3. are you also painting the lenses green?

The accuracy of your F-Class precision rifle could benefit from use of the proper side mount. There is a fellow who custom manufactures these out of Beryllium to avoid electromagnetic interference.

The scope is Kirkland. I prefer this as it actually does to hemorrhoids what 50 grit sandpaper does to balsa wood.

I was most proud of the cross hairs on this particular scope. I am experimenting with where to draw the dots with a sharpie so I can use it for range estimation.

The duct tape is a good suggestion, but I am worried about repeatability.

Is it possible to have this re-bored to a 300 Win Mag? I'm looking at maybe getting a really good scope. What is better, Leapers or Barska?

Forget the green paint, instead, take green food coloring and add it to some laquer or varnish or some sort, then apply 2-3 coats to the lenses, this will give you an instant night vision conversion.

I'm sure you could tighten up that group if you slept with the rifle at night, a properly bedded action is key...

Oh, and how many MOA of adjustment does that scope have?

This F-Class looks interesting, but I don't think I can afford to get into this game. Maybe next year.
