We just finished our first ever run of 10/22 Takedown barrels. We made these in the original factory contour so you won't have to change stocks and in a 12.5" length to keep it legal to hunt with. Drill on the top for our optional Picatinny rail mount for a red dot sight. The barrel is removable with the rail intact keeping your rifle perfectly zeroed regardless of how many times you remove & replace the barrel into the receiver.

Interesting indeed. I'm just piecing to gather a takedown build now, and I'm definitely looking for barrel options. Ideally, I'd find something with irons and pic mount. These do look nice though.

The barrels and mounts both work fine with the X-22. This pic is as far as it needs to turn before pulling forward and separating the two halves :

As for the muzzle...lots of people have asked about an XB-5 for it. Unfortunately there just isn't enough diameter to make these. The O.D. at the muzzle is .640". There will be a thread protector coming soon, I will post here when they are ready.

I ordered a barrel and rail a few days ago. I added a note saying please hold until a thread protector is available. The barrel arrived yesterday complete with a thread protector. Here are some pictures:

Dlask, a few questions.
Can we get it in black?
Can you extend the rail?
Any plans for bull barrels (.920)?
Any plans to source or make locking block kits?
Any plans to make 8” barrels?

Oh, and there are thread protectors in the works for these barrels. They should be done and ready for sale within 1-2 weeks we hope. Problem is we have to use an outside vendor since we don't have a CNC lathe yet (also coming soon I hope).

As per usual, once they arrive I will post them here in an update and to our website.
