They claim the 30 TC (3000fps) beats the .308 win by 180fps with 150g bullets.
     Gun makers always have a very hard time with simple math.

The .30 TC (3000fps) - .308Win (2940fps by 47g of Varget) = 60fps.

Congratulation TC you just invented the .308winchester. and thats if it can even achieve the claimed "3000fps".

I'm all for new stuff but this is a little lame.

finally! a cartridge capable of launching a 30 caliber 165 grain bullet @ 2850 fps! :dancingbanana:

Man, that is the funniest thing I've read here for weeks! I owe todbartell a beer or two for that post!:p

The .30 TC is d00med, but that .450 Bushmaster looks interesting... I can't seem to locate any cartridge drawings or specs, is the case head identical to the .223?

Certainly isn't breaking any records with regard to velocity, I wonder at the recoil claims?
Whore-nady certainly pulled out the stops on the marketing with this one.

Hornady already loads the 150 @ 3000 fps.... WTH?
It's called Light magnum...
I wish a long two (2, deux) years of prime for both the cartridge and the rifles that would put TC in a league they always despised and criticized....

Marketing ... & the other half of the equation : Supply

Anybody have SST's & Leverevolution product overflowing their shelves ???

Well .... keeps the gun hacks writing & the "gotta haves" asking !

My response to the leverrevolution, is that it's an answer to a problem that doesn't exist.
You are never going to make a bush gun shoot like a target rifle. Thus, the range potential of the leverrevolution bullet, is largely offset by the accuracy of the guns it's chambered in.

Lever gun accuracy

I have known lots of lever guns, almost exclusively Marlins, capable of MOA or very close. Not target rifles by any stretch, but IMO the accuracy isn't the weak link in these rifles. Usually it's the round they are chambered for......

That said, I don't disagree with your point on the Leverrevolution and I do love the .30 WCF, 45/70, et al. I just think the whole 'levers are so inaccurate thing' gets blown out of proportion.............;)
