new project gone well.. :) custom VZ Stock.

You got some crazy skills bro.

Congrats.

My only thought is the lop? It looks kinda short? How long is the lop now?

if LOP is from trigger to the end of the butstock.... then 14 3/4 " it is about 2 inches longer then Factory folder..... i actuallu copied the cheek hight and the length from my galil stock... so it should be long enough....

nice work dimitri , what kind of ply wood is that ? and how did you attached it to the receiver?

i used an adapter (big reciever bolt from a factory folder, that has a hole drilled and taped in the center) . Long factory bold for the grip part, and same size thread only alenkey for the back of the reciever, to bolt in to the adapter....

Yea, 14" is good, it just looked short from the pics to me for some reason. :/

ok just got back from the range... :)

It is a success the stock is very comfortable and well balanced...
the whole barrel shroud idea worked well too... nothing came loose, and it seamed to help the balance... Now.. , i had two of my czs there... the other one with a heavy muzzle brake (factory one)... what a difference that brake makes... with "it" rifle doesnt jump as much and allows to focus back on the target much faster... when my other CZ(with a fake can) jumps significantly higher... i still managed to shoot 8 out of 10 in bulls eye and the other two with in 2" radius.. at 60 meters... and consistent 3-4" groups at 100m.
i expect to get a lot more accuracy out of it when i start sorting the surplus ammo...
So i might even take it deer hunting this season.. :) :)

how does that scope and scope mount work with no shell deflector. any problems? where did you get the the reciever rail for the scope mount?

Well.. the side rail is welded to a side bracket made by a member here(Kasat)
it is great, but heavy, and throws the scope about 3mm of center.. if i was to bolt the siderail right on to the receiver, scope would be in the centre... but people say that CZ receiver walls are to thin to bolt a rail on...
Other that that great parts.... return to zero every time after cleaning/disassembling...

great job. Please make the stocks for sale. What is holding that gas block shroud in place?

it is pressed in against the gasblock with the fake can (machined exactly to fit around the gas block, to eliminate any movement.. that thing is tight on there even without the fake silencer... :) )

Ok i made the cheek rest.... with 3/4 inch height adjustment...
on the pictures below.. it is raised all the way up...
