Jeezus someone emailed you already? lol. The BCRA put on two days of the classic 1-12 matches for the 3 Division(mainly 1 PPCLI) Regular Force rifle team which I am coaching for 2 weeks. They are training here in BC for CAFSAC. The guys, and myself too, got to shoot 1-12 on two consecutive days. It went well although I had some ammo issues on day one, missed 2 shots and ended up with a 582-64v. Not sure about those new tipped 77 matchkings. More testing is needed for sure.
Highest I had shot up to date was a 585-57v/600 at NSCC last summer so this 588-63v was definitely a goal. Wasn't the goal I was after but I'll take it! LOL!
No major mistakes today. Only a couple little glitches that were stupid like my hat falling in front of my eyes in the 500m snap and forgetting to take the safety off and having to hurry a couple of shots. Other than that it was pretty smooth. Thanks for the note Will. Too bad you couldn't make it.
The 3 Div guys did extremely well. Out of 22 shooters I believe there were 18 that shot over 500 today. They have only 2 senior shooters so those are pretty much all tyros! Probably 4-5 guys over 550 so pretty outstanding work on their part.
