New pump action rifle sort of

Well its truly a different gun.

Do own a Blaser R8, Steyr Scout, Benelli Argo R1 , rem700 ++ but the krieghoff outshoots everything.

The inline action works great and it has a detachable magazine and is a real "take down" .

Been firing 150 rounds with a 30-06 and cant really find anything to complain about. Must be as close to the "ideal" hunting gun we can get today.

Someone else tried it?

I had a lots of thoughts about this gun when first seeing it. Its a "reverse" pump and why?

After doing my first "reverse" pump motion and reloading one round my first thought was that this works. After emptying the magazine on a few seconds there was no doubt , it works.

Having the scope moving back and forth is a new experience but are very easy to get used to.

The gun appears rock solid with a very smooth action and I am very impressed.

There is only one small thing I did not like. The hand grip is large and I have very small hands. This is probably due to the steering rail that keeps the fore end in right position when moving back and forth. This rail goes through the stock all the way back to the recoil pad. A synthetic version might be with a smaller handgrip.

When firing a shot your shoulder and left arm splits apart automatically. All you have to do is pull them together and your ready for the next one. As fast as an semi automatic first time you try it ( almost).

My conclusion is that this is the most complete hunting gun I have tried with regards fast target aquisition and shooting.

I also think its really funny when something brand new shows up on the marked and really works.

Give it a try and let my know what you think!

It costs appr. 2500,- Euro in Germany for the standard model.

The USD is not doing to well on the exchange lately.

Its well worth trying if possible anyway.

I am pretty sure I can do everything that you do with your Krieghoff with one of my more resonably priced Rem 760/7600s.

Not saying that I wouldn't want one.

I still have my 25 year old Remington 700 ADL and it still shoots good but I would not call it a "shooting machine" and time moves on and new things develops.

The inline action of the Semprio works the opposite way of the 7600 pump. This means that the recoil itselfe becomes a part of the reloading process. Your left arm moves forward and your right shoulder moves backward automatically from recoil and this makes it very smooth and fast to operate. I have not tried the 7600 but I do own a Rem 870 and a Mossberg 500 pump shotgun. You sort of have to wait until recoil is finished before moving the forend backwards to reload.

The Semprio puts 5 rounds within 15mm on 100 yards. I cannot do that with my Benelli Argo R1. Do not know about the 7600?.

The semprio has a cocking device that makes it safe to walk around with a round in the chamber. When you need to fire, just #### it without a sound. This is a problem with the Argo R1 because the bolt makes a lot of sound when closing.

There are more differences to but you should give it a try if possible. Trying wont hurt anybody.

Comparing all of my guns puts the remington 700ADL on top of the cost/use rate list.
The Semprio is expensive but its a "shooting machine" so in field hunting its on top.

Just dont buy the Blaser R8 which are as expensive as the Semprio and offers just a little bit more than the 700. Its on the bottom of the cost/use rate list.
