Just got this yesterday from Tradeex, super happy they are a pleasure to deal with.

Can anyone tell me the manufacturer? Maltby?

I also grabbed an Mk11 spike bayonet, so what is the difference between an Mk1 & Mk11 spike bayonet

Mk1 bayonet has a cruciform blade, and was made by Singer. MkII did not have the grooves of the mk1 on the blade, and were made by many manufacturers, including Singer. Mk1s are rare and will usually run you about $100+-, depending on condition. Mk2 is very common and can be ordered online for as little as $2 from some sources.

I was able to inspect a number of the No. 4s from Tradex. What impressed me was that all were absolutely as manufactured, all original parts, never reworked, or FTR'd. Some still had the grooveless, no half #### cocking pieces. These are rare, most were replaced as unsafe.

i purchased one frome tradex last year when they first came in it was a beautiful rifle i was verry happy with it. the wood and metat was in excelent shape i took it all apart and gave it a good cleaning ,then cleaned the stock and re assembled almost like new except for one dent in the stock verry happy with it.
