Hey guys
well on sunday I ordered a Polish Issue TT33 Tokarev from Al Flaherty's and this morning got a call from the store telling me its in the mail....Wow....thats freekin fast...No?
I could have picked it up wednesday morning but didn't feel like driving down to pick it up so having them send it out....
anyways......
I'm on vacation in a couple of weeks and now I'm making plans to go to spen day at range,
what should I expect when I get this gun lots of goop?
how accurate ..
thanks for any input..
Glenn.

Take it apart to clean it, also the trigger and trigger spring, if you do not know how go on youtube to see my videos, search for "johnny x" 's videos...

Polish Tok don't have much cosmoline in it like the refurbished, they usualy are acurate, if not cycling properly don't worry, it might be the recoil spring (buy a new one)

I bought a Polish TT33 Tokarev earlier this year and it was easy to clean, not much grease at all, just a thin coating in mine. l think t's a great gun. It shots very well and is pretty damn accurate.

Well guess what...

I'm on vacation in two weeks so this newest addition is gonna get a work out
I still can't believe it's wednesday and it only took less then a week for me to get this really fast service from cfo and Al Flaherty
thanks for the info guys.

Looking at the picture, it seems like If your rear sight is slightly off to the left, like if you Will have to aim 3-4" on the right of The center of the target to shoot bulleye.

I am curious to have your report on the range "test" of your Tok.

Holly crap you can tell from a simple pic
Cool
I forgot to mention this t33 had almost no grease or anything had to lube it up after I cleaned it
Will keep you posted on th rear sights
Just realized you can see serial numer. Does that really matter?
If so ill delete and re upload
Also saw different vids on youtube mine has no safety

Well, it could be just an illusion, but check the distance that the sight is going out of the sight rail from left compare to right side.

There are No after manufactures safety added on Russian and Polish Tok, however, your Tok do have a safety: pull back the slide, Release off the hammer and pull it back a 3/8-3/4 of an inch until your heard a click, everything Will be lock, the only way to unlock it is by pull back the hammer 100%

Also, No real issue for the model number, you will found many pictures like yours.

I assume that you also know how to remove the trigger and trigger spring easily.

Well
today I finally took the drive to my club and got to meet up with some very nice members.
after a few hours at the rifle range I went over to the handgun range and wiped off the t33
WOW
is this gun tempermental.....first few rounds no problems then after second mag WAM!! totally siezed up with a round in the chamber...I waited 60 seconds then the slide finally let go and I ejected the round inspected the gun and all seemed fine..
few more rounds and same thing....waited and it freed up kept shooting.....I think its alittle rough around the edges...lol
great little gun though and I'll be breaking it in slowly to see if it starts to free up.
Anyone else have anything similar?
Glenn.

The first time out with mine I got through one magazine, then on the second it would jam every few rounds. The slide was maybe 3 or 4 millimeters from being all the way forward. If I pushed it forward with my thumbs if would seat properly. I've got 4 different magazines I use with mine.

It's gotten better each time out, last week I went through 4 magazines, reloaded then one more before it started acting up. Most of the time it's the slide is just a little short of being all the way forward, maybe twice per range session of 100-150 rounds I'll get a jam with the slide just over halfway back and the round jammed out of the magazine but not into the chamber. I've got around 600 rounds of surplus ammo through mine so far, it's my first pistol so maybe I'm under or over-lubing mine.
