New Rail for M-14S/305

Doubt it. The picture of the rail shows that it has an extension that screws down to the left side of the receiver, same hole as the scope mount uses. I wonder why no one has made a rail or scope mount that anchors to the two slots in the barrel that the handguard clip goes into?

Vltor makes a "Socom II" version with an extended rail that fastens to the stripper clip guide.

Again, though, they only distribute through SA :(

MT84 is that an EO tech on your 14? How does it hold zero? Good or not? I have been thinking about an EO tech and always wondered how they held zero with 7.62mm

Guys on Ar15.com with the Eotechs mounted have no complaints. If you check the pictures thread there for these rifles, on the last page, you will see a set up with the UTG rail and an Eotech.

I emailed the guy and he said he has never had a problem with his rig.

I ordered one of these thru the states, place outta NY and was shipped to ottawa. Not a bad rail system for the price was about 69 US, NEED MAJOR EYE RELIEF FOR SCOPES. So i mounted an EO Tech red dot and holds and groups at 25M (.500 inch) so far. Also makes the rifle look pretty kick ass!

Here is mine installed, new scope in a few weeks.

Read through the other UTG threads guys. All conventional scope mounting isuues will be resolved in a couple of months by 45ACPKing. ;)

yes I (45acpking) am endeavoring to get our rear rail completed and into the market. It will in fact enable any optic to be used on a UTG tri rail equiped M14s, and will be a simple but secure installation.

Incidentally , I designed this part as i do run an eotech 552 on my shorty m14s and also want to run a 3x magnifier behind it. This new M14Doctor rail is just the ticket for this siuation AND for the mounting of standard eye relief scopes. stay tuned..... all i can say is .... coming soon ;)

Please post up when it is available please.

you can count on the fact that they will be availlable here on CGN as soon as the first run is completed. All things in good time. I don't want to get everyones hopes high that they will be availlable real soon, BUT, i am endeavoring to get them availlable as fast as i can, without cutting any corners. It's just one more thing on the list of items to get done and into the market ;)

Care to give us a ballpark figure $$$?

That UTG rail looks great. Compare that to this $435USD part from Troy.

The market for M14 parts can only grow but only if your price is reasonable. I am new to the M14 and I couldn't resist designing a part of my own. I'm having the machining done next month.
