I must be missing something but on Ruger's website the rifle is listed as 7 pounds. On world.guns.ru the No.4 Enfield is listed as 4.11kg (8.3 pounds).
Que?
It's not the weight - it's ergonomics and convenience of carry.
Ballance point is right over the mag which makes single hand carry a pain
LER scopes haven't made any advancements since the 80's
If you want to run a conventional scope you need to remove the LER rail
They look way cool though - but these rifles aren't for me.
Although I don't use LER scopes I suppose I don't mind them.
However I've yet to see a good one with adjustable M3 style turrets.
A scout rifle without a stripper clip groove? I don't get it.
AI mags don't allow for that anyways and can be a pain to reload.
A pain in the arse over-all IMHO.
I'd rather have a modified remmy
Anyways
Rangers didn't desire CRF - Push feed all the way.
That was a very clear message
Regardless I'll use what ever they give me and be happy

However I will miss my issue CNo4Mk1* terribly.
And yes, there are no more parts and there are no weapons techs trained on the lee enfield anyways.
