I think I could do as good as 20 seconds per charge with any old $75 powder drop, beam scale & trickle charger set-up...My old Lyman digital will drop some powders (some course tick powders wont meter consistently so I do use a trickler with those) to .10 and do 2 rounds in 20 seconds or close to it.

Once I have things figured out I can weigh a charge with a cheap yellow Lee scoop and simply tap the scoop with my finger for the last couple of kernels in 30 seconds or less. The price of that toy buys a lot of powder and bullets.

I splurged on a Chargemaster 6 yrs ago, I like it well enough, no beefs. But, similar to as was previously said, if it had been 850-900.00, fuhget it. The Lee spoons do work well on a balance beam with long stick powders, and a powder thrower works just fine with quite a few powders. I was doing Bee's and 223 with 1680 & 2230, 150 rds or so, a few wks ago, looked at the CM, looked at the 3BR. Takes 2-3min to set up the BR, can toss 3-4 loads/min, maybe more. +/- 0.01 avg. at worst, 95% will toss right on at weight. If the CM was unplugged, I would be done with the thrower by the time the CM was warmed up. I used the thrower.

I've got one that I bought used off of the EE. So far I'm happy with it for the $920 I paid. I've only put Varget through it so far and it does take some fiddling with settings to avoid most overthrows. I don't think I'd pay full price for one since at that point your close to the top end tricklers.
