I have been loading 40S&W with 180 TCFM but have switched to 180 JHP. The JHP is .03 longer and had to adjust for OAL but would I have to adjust the powder also? Is that enough to increase the pressures?

if your not near max loads, i wouldn't worry about it. but of course the safest thing is to start fresh.

did you have to adjust it so it would fit your mag/chamber?

make the OAL longer so the base of the bullet is still the same depth as the short bullets that way nothing should change pressure wise as it's the same bullet weight.

they will just be .03 longer and if that doesn't cause feeding issues, then you will be fine.

so if the old OAL is 1.20, it will now be 1.23.

I bet if you just substituted the JHP for the TCFM and made no other adjustments to press, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. If you are at all concerned back off a few 1/10s and work back up. But I wouldn't play with a COAL that works in your gun.
