Having never dealt with the system or those managing it, I have no real reference.

I bought a Ruger P85 (I have another thread asking for opinions on the gun) on Wednesday.

The Transfer and ATT were completed and faxed to Williams YESTERDAY at 4PM.

I know it's my first restricted, but DAMN. I'm going to pick it up this afternoon.

Thanks CFC and CFO! I know who the lady was that did it so fast, but I'm not sure it's good etiquette to mention her name here.

I bought a Springfield 1911 from P&D in Edmonton one morning and picked it up that afternoon. I was visiting from Calgary, so I think they pulled whatever strings they could.

We actually do have some very decent people working in the ONT CFO office.

I know that at least one of them is an avid shooter and collector herself...

The record in the store was about three hours. Gun shop owners can ask for a rush to be put on the transfer due to the customer being out of town etc.

Lucky ba$tard! Last restricted transfer I did out here in BC took almost 2 weeks. Down from their usual 3-4 business days. 'Course that was from individual to individual. Just doing one now from a business so will see how long that takes...

With the exception of 12(6) guns

When I buy from a store I seem to get really fast transfers....person to person however I seems to take forever....I did a snubbie and it took 11 weeks...sheesh!

Indeed, you are lucky. I just received an awesome Beretta 92G-SD from the EE and it only took T-W-E-N-T-Y----T-W-O freakin' days to complete at CFO Ontario. Thanks Orillia, I'll remember you when I commence my homegrown Jihad against the filthy Islamophobic non-believers.

11 weeks is brutal. My last three 12(6) all took 8-10 business days to complete.
