I was informed today by John Zhukov of Accumounts that he requires a US export license now to ship PU & PEM scopes to Canada as of the 27th of May.

Anyone have any actual facts about what's going on now?

they didnt have time to change their site and their listing on ebay ... it still says ship internationally .

im no expert but i think exporting military scope and mount from US has been restricted for some time , thats why i have avoided ordering from there . i bot all my scope from EE and from europe.

BTW , does anyone know where i can get a SVT40 scope mount?

I've just had one shipped from Numrich $159.00. Steel, copy of the original unit. It's in the "Tokarev" "40" section of the parts listing. No restriction.

BTW, I need an SVT type PU and PEM for round receiver. You have a good source?

They have been legally restricted since 2002; my guess is they were finally busted and are compelled to comply with US law. There are still many companies selling restricted goods out of the US without permits under the auspices of "sporting goods". Just pray that it isn't your order that is seized and that our pals in homeland security don't look at your arse in a whole new way when you attempt to cross the border with your name entered on their system.

worry if you get the guards with large hands .:D

ALL scopes leaving the US have to have a US export permit. About 4 years ago Midway was fined almost $300,000 for exporting about 250 sporting scopes without permits. Ziess USA was fined $10,000 for shipping 10 scopes to Ziess Canada!!!
