Beretta has released the final version of their new assault rifle - the ARX 160. The weapons is chambered in 5.56 and was developed for the Italian "Soldato Futuro" program. A first production batch has been delivered to the army, notably to the Italian ISAF forces.

Ok . . . I don’t want to come across as negative but why is everyone and there brother building similar 5.56 rifle? They all kinda look the same! Maybe one has a little more plastic then the other or a rail in a different position. Come-on can’t someone think of something new? If I wanted something in 5.56 I would buy a rifle on the AR platform!
