New Release from Chiappa!!!!

Just think of the fireball. And why do people whine so much about price, it is what it is. I fondled one the other day and yea, I can see how its worth 2k.
It isn't like these are mass production, so you have to take that into consideration....back to the fireball....

I wonder how hard it would be for Chiappa to machine some integral mounts on one of their Octagon barrels similar to what Grizzly Custom does on their 39 makeovers.
Still curious if the initial takedown that started this thread is drilled and tapped on the barrel as it appears in the photos? Is a rail availlable? I assume it would be have been mentioned if the rail was included in the purchase price.

I'd be highly interested as well if it came with a rail to fit the threaded holes as per the initial picture. US pics of longer version show a rail

I shoot a 14" barreled T/C Contender carbine in 45-70 with a 14" length of pull butt stock overall length is 28 1/2" which is appr 4" - 5" shorter than the Chiappa Ridge Runner I've never had an issue with a fireball I load with faster burning H322 gunpowder though.

Is the rail on the blued gun available as an accessory for the 12" barreled Ridge Runner?

and has anyone bought - shot one of these guns in the Fraser Valley yet?

What I'm interested in is action strength... if these could take Ruger #1 loads they would be very interesting.

No the 1886 is not rated to take Ruger#1 loads it is slightly stronger than Marlin 1895 actions though.

Use lever action reload data no need to push higher pressures from lever guns anyway.

It's funny, so many guys in the Alaskan post were saying "man if it was in 45-70 I'd pick one up for sure!" and now all anyone says is too much money lol. I agree it's more than what I would have expected but it's only $300 more than the Chiappa Kodiak so I guess it's not that far out of line. I'm buying one because it's going to be a fabulous bow hunting backup piece. I hope it fits in my over the shoulder holster!!

Nod. I'm a big 45-70 fan. I was one of the guys who wanted to buy one....but 2g's? My Marlin SBL works beautifully for half the money.

Peoples find the price to high... Suddenly...POFF, they are gone, good stuff dont stay on the shelves... JP.

Supposed to be a tuff economy.
Not for some it seems.
I couldn't even think about affording a $2K rifle.

Just watched a review of a stainless Chiappa 44 Mag on Hickok45.
Gun looked fantastic and functioned very smoothly.
