New Release - Marlin 1895 Guide Gun

I just snagged a new 1895 Trapper, be a few days before it gets here.

Anyone know how Ruger/Marlin is doing the serial numbers for these?, starting at 0 and numbered as they go?, or?

Hey Gord,

The 1895 SBL models seem to be RM0013 series and Trappers seem to be RM0022 series.

I can only assume numbered as they go from there.

I would think the early numbers or just neat sequence numbers are going to be sought after for years to come.

The first Ruger/Marlins in the 1895 SBL Models were serial numbers RM0007 series.

Approximately 5600 rifles later, they are in the serial numbers RM0013.

They could be at RM0020 series now, who knows for sure.

Evening John.......any idea on arrival time for the 1895 GBL brown laminate blued barrel in 45-70?
 
I'm still dreaming of a Ruger/Marlin 1894 SBL stainless laminate trapper in a 41 magnum caliber.

I know it's a pipe-dream, but maybe one day she will come to fruition!.......:)

I love 41 magnums!

The last Marlin 41 magnum I saw pictures of only was a 1894SS Stainless/Grey Laminate straight grip with a 16.5" barrel and a serial number of 1894S087.

If I'm not mistaken it was a Davidson's or Lipsey's Limited Edition Model. It came with fiber optic sights front and rear.

What a find that was for someone. I believe 500 or so were made.

Is this one of those reasonable priced hunting rifles Trudeau says we can replace the scary ones he is going to confiscate from us?

My ruger trapper starts with 21, if it makes any difference.

Maybe they are not following sequential numbers?

Anything that starts with RM000 and then four digits should be the earlier models that were made.

I guess it all depends on how they are imported into Canada.

And how they are distributed when they come to the Canadian Distributors.
 
I have heard the back order back-log is close to 6000 SBL models alone.

If this is true, that means 6000 licensed Canadian firearms owners are waiting for these sweet 45-70 rifles.

Korth, can you chime in and verify if the demand is actually this high?

May put the value at $5000.00 for a collector.

I saw a Ruger/Marlin SBL on Gun Post yesterday advertised for $4000.00. Ouch!!

Can't believe the prices some are asking, I thought $3000.00 was the cap, maybe not, time will tell.
