New Release - Marlin 1895 Guide Gun

Lol, yes, but the amazing kaboom and shoulder thump are also among the cartridge's most endearing traits...as well as being the impetus for a lot of good deals on barely-used examples. :)

I love shooting, and I love trying out different cartridges and actions and rifle designs...I may have met guns I didn't like but I never met a gun I didn't enjoy trying out...but to this day I don't think there is anything in the shooting world that makes me smile quite so much as the roar and thump of a .45-70. :)

Same for me, too much fun!.......:)

If you’re pics post sideways and there from an iPhone, there’s a simple fix. Before you post a pic go to your photos on your iPhone, select edit and change it to “square”. Works every time and posts the pic properly after editing.

Thanks for the tip. I will give this a try.

One would think though when you pay an annual membership fee this should allow one to post pictures to your ad without the hassle of standing on your head while barking like a dog, just to post a picture for the others who would like too see them.

Well you guys get the idea.

In my younger days I met a few gals like that as well!......:)

He did help by pointing out you had one for sale, but the price. !!!

Only 40% over retail, lol. :sok2

Well, wasn’t exactly cheap to have IRG bring one with the crappy exchange, but nonetheless it’s SPF so obviously someone was happy to have to opportunity to get their hands on one now.

Hint, they are 2500 retail now. If you’re in Ontario, that’s $2875. It’s nice to have lots of trappers. Just wish I had more guide guns and SBLs.

Consider it a finders fee.

To the moon! Like GameStop.

Maybe I’ll be able to afford the new Christensen modern hunting rifle @ 4699.

Congratulation on the Sale, I guess people are waking up to reality on the cost and availability of the new Ruger/Marlins
Retail price is going to go up so if you snooze you loose i tried to sell a trapper a month ago for $2500.00 cdn
no takers, now i am sitting on a few and they are going up in value as we speak. So if anyone is serous in a new in box
Trapper drop me line

Managed to order one at $1750, though I’m likely in for a wait. Wouldn’t bother paying $2500, just feel like there’s more I can do for that money. There’s other retailers that have these on order for less than $2500, but I guess if you don’t wanna wait, feel free to dish out.

Check with Prophet River.

Shush, you!

Why on earth would you pay full retail and buy from an established authorized retailer with a good reputation for customer service...when you can pay nearly twice as much to buy from an anonymous internet profiteer you don't know?

Think, man...think!

My local shop has got 2 Marlin rugers in stock and priced very good, the guide gun is$1709, and the sbl model is $1899. Still there as I type this and those are the best prices Ive seen.He wasn't even expecting them in.He has taken both out of Thr boxes and cycled thrm,he says smooth as it gets and fit n finish is amazing.

That’s pretty wicked! Really excited to get the trapper whenever that may be. Planning a space cowboy build, queue the anger from the purists :p

The trappers are amazing. Kit them with all the rangerpoint gear and they are even more amazing.
Easily my second favourite gun in my collection already.
Only rifle I enjoy more is the Christensen MRP with a 16” barrel.

Just need a guide gun to round out the collection.
So far I like the trapper much more than the SBL for numerous reasons.
