New Release - Marlin 1895 Trapper in 45-70

Any chance we're going to see the marlin dark again?

IMO it’s guaranteed, those were very popular and will be brought back no doubt, thing is I’m also sure Ruger will continue to piecemeal the new models our slowly.

No idea what’ll be next though.

We suspect (and hope) so. Ruger appears to be building the most popular models first; should just be a matter of time before the Dark (or a new take on the old style) is released. That said, we have zero indication on which model(s) are next to be released.

Any chance the new Ruger/Marlins, SBL or Trapper models might show up by the fall?

We have not received official word from Ruger for delivery. With so few Marlins being released, we are unsure as to when product will arrive.

Once we have more info, we'll post here to let everyone know.

What places are taking deposits? I've been trying to get my hands on certain 45-70s for around 3 years now but no luck. I have my name down on various lists but all of these places have turned down deposits.

I was lucky to win the auction for the 1895SBL from the Korth group back in March I think it was. It is one of the finest firearms I have had the chance to fondle. I have yet to shoot it and have had many offers to buy it but for some reason I don't want to part ways with it.

I can understand your ability to hang on to it. Ruger did an amazing job with the SBL.

Sold my Chiappa 45-70 to eventually find one of these gems..

I don’t think there will be a better gun for hunting the thick woods of northern Ontario for moose and bear !

I haven't seen a Trapper in real life yet.

The SBL model is unreal to say the least.

Better than a JM model hands down and obviously better than a Remington/Marlin.

Ruger/Marlin is the bomb, no question.

They will be worth the wait for all of us.
