I am a little proud right now. I just reloaded my first 40 rounds of .303 Br.

Used my band new Lee Speed loader too!

Cant wait to shoot these beauties and start figuring our recipes!

It is a slippery slope!
More powders to try, more bullets to try, different primers to try, different brass to try, then trying various seating depths to find the best load for your rifle...and that is just for your 303!
Wait until you get another rifle and new dies!
Soon your loading bench is going to look like the reloading department in a small gunshop! LOL
It is very rewarding!

Welcome! You are in for a heck of a good ride. I started around 1970 with a Lee Loader for 30-30 and a can of 3031 powder. I have enjoyed all the benefits of reloading, including being a part of forums like this one.

I started less than a year ago. It does indeed look like a reloading store already haha. Just received an AMP induction annealer this week too from X Reload.

Wait til you go to a gun show and see a really nice gun in some odd cartridge. "Need dies, pilot, shellholder, brass, bullets? powder? Go find a manual, quick." "Hmmm, got primers, powder, shellholder. I saw bullets and brass and dies on that table over there, see if I can spot a pilot, or get one on the way home."
Then it is; " need to make reloading faster" " need to improve the accuracy" , "I could splurge for this for Xmas" "i could splurge for my birthday", "ahh, 100.00 ain't expensive".

Just getting started here as well, jumped right in with the full Fx120i setup with the auto throw and auto trickle. I have been acquiring other bits and pieces for almost 2 years now, and I am almost ready to start making cartridges....almost.

Barns makes a TSX for your 303, in a 150 gr bullet.. great terminal performance , also like the hornady interlock.

Have fun with your new hobby.
Very satisfying when you find that pet load your rifle likes.
FYI... accuracy comes from consistancy,, , ,,record your data.
Welcome to the brother hood.

Its easy to keep buying more and more equipment as you go along. You will end up picking up dies and brass for every caliber you own, and maybe some you don't own yet.

You're ready LOL

Thanks guys! I am really looking forward to this!

I am already looking around for 308 reloading supplies hahaha

You also have a 308 win rifle?
303 British uses .311 bore bullets, not 308 diameter bullets grabber.
If you dont get good accuracy with .311 diameter bullets, try slugging the bore to find out true bore dimensions for your particular rifle..
They vary a bit , .311 , .312, 313. Bores. in size due to war time production standards ..
Also ,, bullets designed for that cartridge, have the proper crimp groove ,, important when seating your bullets to your OAL, that it matches . Dont over crimp, a nice taper will do

The only comment I can make is to stay with quality parts...I started shooting IPSC about 45 years ago with ammo out of a Lee Loader...(I had to plan ahead for each match!) Naturally this graduated to a better press (RCBS Rockchucker) and then to a Dillon XL 650. I still have all the reloading equipment with the exception of die sets for calibers that I stopped using or sold the guns in that caliber. If you are now looking for a rifle in .308, you have the addiction so you might want to consider a bench mounted press.

My point is what you are using now, good stuff will last you your lifetime with a bit of lubrication and careful use.

Enjoy!! It does become a bit of an addiction, but a fun addiction, nevertheless.

I started reloading around 1963, and I would certainly hate to have to replace
all that I have accumulated over the years to supplement this hobby. At today's
prices, it would be a chunk of change.

But I have absolutely NO regrets. I have enjoyed so much loading and shooting,
plus hunting with ammo I have crafted myself, and I have never tired of load
development, and trying new chamberings. Plus having a site like this one, where
there is a living library of experience to tap into. What's not to like? :) Dave.

No I have: 2 .308s, 4 .303Br, 1 7.62x39, 2 .12ga and lastly my trusty black powder rifle.

I am beginning with .303Br as it seems to be the most "temperamental" for loading. I dont do any competitive shooting, I just find .303Br costly and I figure this might be a way to save some pennies and maybe set up a good hunting round.
